“Don't you know, Mr. Bastille? Mr. Russell has been seen with a woman lately. He's been spoiling her a lot these days.”

As his words fell, Morgan glanced at Josie and passed her a card. “What kind of woman?”

“Obviously, a beautiful woman. But more importantly, the woman's backer is supposedly someone with the surname Zastrow.”

“Which Zastrow?”

“Who else could it be? There's only one Zastrow in Wavery's government agency, right?” Jeffrey winked ambiguously. “I heard he sent two flower arrangements to celebrate Mandarin Oriental Hotel's reopening today.”

Morgan understood.

Tiffany added, “That's right. Mr. Russell is truly outstanding. If we could establish a connection with him, it would be like a golden ticket, a solution to all our worries.”

Morgan chuckled lightly. “So, that's what he meant by finding another way out.”

His voice was low, and only Josie heard it. Suddenly, she felt the air in the room becoming suffocating.

“Oh, I saw that woman from afar just now. Her side profile looks a bit like this young lady here.” Tiffany observed Josie curiously.

Josie lowered her eyes and played the colored joker.

She guessed the other joker was in Morgan's hand, but he didn't play it. “It's not fair to compare like that. Everyone is an individual. Maybe Dexter likes that lady's elegant demeanor, but what I like is her calm and graceful demeanor.”

Her words were ambiguous, and everyone started to laugh.

In just forty minutes, Josie's chips were overflowing. She grew uninterested. “I'm done playing.”

Tiffany wasn't too pleased. “You won over a million from our table, and now you don't want to play anymore? Do you even consider us humans?”

Josie took her coat and put it back on. “No matter how much I win, isn't there always someone who will compensate you?”

The scene fell silent for a moment. No one expected her to be so bold.
