After receiving treatment, Liana was transferred to a normal ward. The doctor said she wasn’t

seriously injured.

Although the wound was a little deep, it didn’t require stitches. She had fainted because of her excessive panic and ment*l tension.

“You finally woke up, Liana!” Rosaline cried by her bed. She sobbed as if she was in Liana’s wake.” I thought I would never see you again!” 

“Alright, alright, stop mourning. Jasper isn’t here. There’s no point in crying so loudly. You’re bothering me,” Sophia said.

She crossed her arms and asked, “Have you figured out how to handle this situation?”

“Which situation?” Rosaline wiped away her tears, a little confused.

“Which situation? Don’t tell me you’ve messed up more than once?” Sophia sneered as she glared at her useless younger sister. 1

“Your failures are more than your successes. Do I look like a magical genie? I’ve been supporting you so that your daughter ends up with Jasper. With that bird brain of yours, do you think your daughter could enter such a noble family? No way!”

Liana also held a grudge against her mother for being shortsighted and only caring about

immediate benefits.

To make ends meet, she sold the necklace that Jasper gave her. If it hadn’t ended up in the hands of the Taylor family, nothing would have happened today. Her relationship with Jasper wouldn’t

have been at risk.

“Sophia, I must talk to you about this!” Rosaline had been scolded by Sophia since she was young. And now she felt embarrassed to be scolded in front of her daughter.

Annoyed and embarrassed, she said, “Today, Liana and I were almost successful. So why did your daughter intervene? If it weren’t for her, things wouldn’t have ended up like this!”

“How would I know that Lauren was in the bathroom? Liana, you too. How many times have I told you? Why are you so careless in handling things, leaving others with evidence you don’t even

know about?!” Sophia was also angry, but it was her fault. Hence, she shifted the blame to Liana.

Liana felt wronged but could only pout in silence.

“Anyway, right now, words alone aren’t enough,” Sophia said. “There is no evidence proving that Liana caused her injury. Liana, if Jasper asks, you just act crazy and clueless.”
