Hearing that Patrick had let her go, Amelia slipped away as fast as lightning.

Patrick could not help but let out a soft snort when he saw her pathetic look.

Pausing behind Amelia, Huxton asked calmly, "Madam, why did you call me out?"

Amelia thought to herself, "Oh, so you wanted to continue acting!"

She folded her leg together and looked at him angrily. She then said, "I had only made a call and told a white lie in front of you and Scarlett? Didn't I apologized to you after the incident?"

"Yes, madam, you did apologize." Huxton did not deny this.

Amelia's face was full of grief and indignation. "Then is this how you repay me? You told my conversation with Ryker this morning...to that tyrant Patrick! And you didn't even miss a word! What you did had greatly hurt my heart!"

"Madam! There is one thing that I must explain to you." Huxton's tone did not change and his attitude was still the same. "I don't know anything about what you've said today, because... the device is in sir's ears."
