Crises in Love novel Chapter 212

I listened as Logan spoke, my expression unchanged as I glanced at Catherine. She was looking at Logan with a complex expression. Logan's mouth was busy with his food, but his eyes were locked on Catherine's face.

Catherine, feeling rather uncomfortable under his gaze, retorted, "What are you looking at? I didn't want your money!"

I almost burst out laughing. What was meant to be a casual conversation was now filled with underlying meanings. These two were quite a pair! Catherine was exceptionally smart, but when it came to love, she was a clueless idiot.

At the same time, Janice seemed incredibly serious, as if she was being guided through a maze by a wise sage. She asked Logan, "Mr. Monahan, you're serious, aren't you?"

"Uh-huh," Logan nodded, breaking his gaze from Catherine. "Absolutely serious."

Janice moved closer to Logan. "I really wouldn't know where to start without you telling me. For all these years, something didn't feel right. It's like something was off. Janetta had been quarrelling with Irving for several years before her car accident. He openly kept a mistress, and Janetta silently endured it for years. But just when she agreed to divorce, the accident happened."

"There are no such things as coincidences!" Catherine chimed in.

Janice's expression was grave as she recalled a memory. "On the night of her accident, Janetta called me. She said she had something for me to keep safe for her, and she was on her way to give it to me. But all I got was the news of the accident.

When I rushed to the hospital, she never woke up. I always felt that what she wanted me to keep safe was not something ordinary."

"What exactly is it?" Geneva inquired.

I looked at Janice. "Did you get it?"
