Cupid's Arrow Hit On Me novel (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 1792

The chauffeur asked Milo, one of Serenity’s personal bodyguards.

Milo gave it a thought before answering, “I’ve been the missus’s bodyguard for several months now. I know a bit more about her. I don’t think she will take it out on Mr. Zachary. Ms. Daniels was the one clinging to Mr. Zachary, but she ultimately failed. Why should the missus blame Mr. Zachary for that?”

“Good. My worst fear is that the missus is angry and gives Mr. Zachary the snub. We would be in trouble.”

No one had it easy when Zachary was in fury.

Nevertheless, the firsts to suffer were the ones who were often in Zachary’s life.

The chauffeur usually drove Serenity around, so he often met with Zachary. His worry was justified.

Serenity entered the house and sat on the sofa. There was a noise outside not too long later. Zachary was back.

Zachary’s car pulled up at the front of the main house.

Serenity remained on the sofa and did not go up to welcome Zachary home as she usually did when she heard his car engine.

Zachary carried a few shopping bags out of the car. The bags contained the latest style of a certain label for Serenity. Serenity was a person of status, and there was a lot of attention on her now. She was a walking billboard when she wore these branded clothes around or when attending events.

In the past, the labels carrying men’s wear would seek Zachary. Now that Zachary was married, the brands of women’s wear flocked to Serenity.

Zachary got out of the car, but his wife was nowhere to be found. It was unusual that even Sam was missing from the picture.

Not in a hurry to enter the residence, Zachary called Milo over and asked, “What happened before I came home? Is my wife in a bad mood?”

Milo answered in a soft voice, “You should ask the missus, sir. This is between you and her, so it’s not our place to talk about it. We are done for the day now, sir. I got to go. Goodnight, sir.”

He then slipped away.
