Darrell brewed a pot of tea for Belinda.

Audrey poured a cup of tea for Belinda and placed it in front of her. She looked at her and saw that Belinda’s eyes were shimmering. She then asked, “Now that you’ve found my sister and I, are you willing to hand over the position of the matriarch back to us?”

Her sister died but Audrey was still alive and kicking. Furthermore, she and Lisa had daughters of their own too.

According to the Fishers’ family rules, daughters inherit the name Fisher and the position of the matriarch. However, Audrey was not willing to accept this position, and she intended to let Lisa’s descendants assume it.

Accustomed to this submission and reverence, Belinda could not help but feel a growing anger when faced with Audrey's silent sarcasm.

Belinda called with a gentle tone. Though she had taken good care of herself, her age was showing. At seventy years old, no matter how well one had upkeep themselves, they could not escape the signs of aging. She had a pained expression on her face as she spoke, “Drey, do you still believe those rumors? Do you think I’m responsible for your parents’ death?

“I reached out to you and Lisa because I genuinely wanted to provide you both with a good upbringing. I never had any intentions to harm you. You and Lisa are what Tiara left in this world. How could I possibly... Drey, we haven’t seen each other for decades, and I understand that you don’t trust me. I don't blame you.”
