The room was dimly lit, so much so that it was hard to make out each other's faces.

"Maja, come with me."

His voice still had its gentle tone, but to Maja, there was a subtle hint of deliberation in it this time.

Could it be her imagination?

"Hey, I want to leave," she said, her voice wavering just slightly. "I made it clear the last time. Our agreement has expired."

The last time, she had been groggy for days, and when she woke up, there was no explanation, and he was nowhere to be found. That had made her wary of him.
