Ian was pressed up against her back, one arm wrapped around her waist. The elevator was stuck on some floor, and all they had to do was wait for rescue. He should let her go, but neither of them moved.

Maja didn't realize that their position could be misunderstood. After all, it was just two of them in there. Being close to him made her feel safe, plus there was only one handrail on this side. She even wanted to step back a bit to feel even safer.
