Maria saw Ian planning to wait for Maja here and started to get antsy. She wished Maja would hurry back.

Even though Maja once said there was nothing between her and Ian, she still didn't want them to drift apart.

Ian's time was precious, and it seemed he wasn't exactly a fan of Maja. Now that he was willing to wait here, if Maja dilly-dallied for too long, Ms. Casson might stir up trouble again.

Maria quickly found a quiet corner and dialed Maja's number.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, Mr. Raymond is here waiting for you. Maybe you wanna tie Coco outside first?"

If she came back now, one bark from Coco would definitely alert Ian.

Maja knew Ian came to give her a piece of his mind. The worst-case scenario might be them calling off their collaboration.

Or even worse, Ian might publicly announce that he'd never work with her studio again.

Maja frowned, holding the leash in her hand, contemplating how to explain.

After all, she initially thought they'd be divorced in no time, so she didn't see the point in explaining.

This delayed her for twenty minutes. She started running towards Rosewood Manor, worried Ian might be getting impatient.

But just when she was less than a hundred meters away from Rosewood Manor, she saw Ian's car pulling out.

Ian looked a bit grim. Twenty minutes was his limit. Even when waiting for important partners, they never made him wait for more than five minutes, let alone this was the second time Maja kept him waiting.

His brows furrowed, and through the car window, he spotted Maja right away.
