Kurt stood there, dumbfounded, then a light bulb went off in his head. She had the nerve to use Ian's fame, claiming to be his wife?

This chick was seriously ballsy.

Now that the truth was out, Kurt made a mental note. Next time he saw her, he wouldn't pull any punches!

As Maja left the course and got in her car, she thought about Kurt's sneaky moves and felt totally grossed out.

She needed to head home and figure out a plan.

Surrounded by luxury cars, hers stuck out like a sore thumb. She hit the gas, carefully backing out her car.

A car behind her was going too fast and slammed into her rear bumper. Her car lurched forward. Her head nearly hit the windshield. Because of the impact, her car moved forward three meters, crashing into a Bentley parked in front of her.

Getting out of her car, Maja saw the driver was a middle-aged woman with a face full of makeup. Seeing she'd hit an ordinary car, she looked totally unimpressed. She then looked at Maja as if she was just some gold digger using her beauty to hook a rich man.

Maja caught that look. She glanced at the Bentley in front, its license plate full of identical digits, wondering if the woman had noticed.

"Alright, my insurance will contact you for repairs, don't waste my time."

The woman waved her off impatiently, not caring at all about Maja's reaction.

Maja frowned, trying to keep her tone even, "Ma'am, the car in front...."

Before she could finish, the woman cut her off, "I told you, I have important things to do. Do you know where this is? I don't have time to argue with you. I'll compensate for the car in front, now go. Give me your parking space!"

The damage to the car in front was severe, repairs would likely cost hundreds of thousands. Since someone was willing to take full responsibility, she didn't have to say anything more.

As Maja drove away, the woman finally realized she'd hit a pricey Bentley!

Her face went pale. She parked her car in Maja's spot and headed straight for the golf course, without any intention to notify the Bentley owner.

Ian came out with Reyes.

Jeff hurried over, intending to drive the car over, but found the taillights smashed and the license plate twisted.

Reyes immediately looked grim. He quickly called over a security guard, "Who did this? Pull up the CCTV."

The guard jumped, not wanting to offend anyone. He immediately went to check the CCTV footage.

Reyes turned to Ian, "Mr. Raymond, should I arrange for someone to take you home?"

"Let the police handle the footage." Ian said casually, but his cool demeanor made the manager anxious. This meant he wanted to hold someone accountable.

Reyes nodded, "Rest assured, Mr. Raymond, I will sort this out."

Ian didn't say anything but got in his damaged car. Jeff knew that Ian didn't like to ride in other people's cars, so he took the wheel, "We're not far from the hotel, I'll take you there first and then let the insurance deal with this."

"Sure."

Ian had been living abroad for three years. Although he owned several properties, they were no different from hotels.

His house in Greenfield Gardens was not yet renovated, so he was temporarily staying at the Pacific Hotel that was owned by his family.

As they left the course and waited at a red light, Jeff glanced back at Ian, remembering Ryan's request.

"Mr. Elston gave me some blueprints and a contact number at noon. He said it's a designer he recommends. Do you want to take a look?"

Since Ian's return, many design companies had offered their services, but he hadn't been impressed by any. What would a designer recommended by Ryan be like?

Ian was a bit puzzled and rubbed his temples, "Where are the blueprints?"

"They're in the folder next to your left hand."

Ian nodded but didn't open it right away. Instead, he leaned back in his seat and took a nap.

After getting back to her apartment, Maja took a shower, reapplied her medicine, and then heard the doorbell ring. It was already 8 pm, who could be looking for her?

She put on a robe and opened the door to find two cops flashing their badges at her.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, you're suspected of hit-and-run. Please come with us to the station."
