Ian was standing by the bathtub, pants soaked and unable to hide his physiological reaction. Memories from the night before kept replaying in his head.

He never thought he would be so susceptible to a woman calling him "hubby". His voice turned husky the moment he opened his mouth.

"If you're sober, get out on your own."

Maja's clothes were completely soaked, outlining her body. Her black hair clung to her cheeks, like a nymph that had just leapt out of the water, looking innocent and enchanting.

Her body temperature rose again. She looked at Ian and gave a sweet smile, trying to get out of the bathtub.

Ian, with his cold and stern face, didn't hesitate to push her back. He turned on the shower, and let the cold water spray directly at her. His actions were not gentle.

Maja was forced to close her eyes. She had only experienced sex once when she was half-conscious and couldn't resist the heat that the drug was bringing. It was unbearable.

Ian lightened his force, intending to let her sober up by herself. As he was about to leave, his collar was grabbed, and he was pulled forward. Their lips met, one cold and one hot.

"Clang."

The showerhead in his hand fell to the ground. He immediately reacted, quickly standing up. He didn't even glance at Maja in the bathtub, and walked right out.

"Slam!" The bathroom door was shut very harshly.

Back in the living room, he sat silently on the sofa, giving the window a cold glance.

When Jeff walked in, he felt an unusually cold temperature, as if everything had been frozen. He noticed Ian's soaked pants and frowned, but didn't ask anything.

"Here are the documents for tomorrow. The online meeting will start in about half an hour."

Ian nodded, hearing a noise from the bathroom like something had fallen. He frowned but didn't pay any attention.

Jeff looked at the closed bathroom door, puzzled. Was the noise he heard from his imagination? It seemed like there was movement inside.

After finishing his instructions, he was about to leave when Ian said, "Bring a set of women's clothes over later."

A look of surprise appeared on Jeff's face. Ian couldn't possibly have a secret lover. Who could be in the bathroom?

"What size?"

Ian thought for a moment, and frowned, "I don’t know. Just pick one."

Jeff nodded and left.

Ian looked down at the documents without getting up to check on the situation in the bathroom. He had already shown restraint by not kicking her out. He reviewed the documents that had been delivered, opened his laptop and started the online meeting.

"Cut the lengthy reports and just get to the point."

The people in the meeting didn't say much, guessing that he was in a bad mood tonight.

In the bathroom, Maja finally sobered up after nearly an hour under the cold water. She looked around, her face turning pale, and quickly checked herself. Thankfully, she was still wearing her own clothes. Was this a hotel? She stood up against the wall and bit her lip. The pain sobered her up a bit.

She was helped into the car by two men, then what?

Her face in the mirror still had a hint of flush. She frowned slightly as flashes of memories came back. She seemed to have seen Ian, and...

Maja felt her brain go into overdrive, especially recalling how she had called him hubby?

Maja was so embarrassed that she was burning up; her mind froze for a moment. After some mental preparation, she finally opened the bathroom door to see the man sitting quietly on the sofa.

Ian was listening to the meeting report and didn't notice her coming out. Just as he was about to point out a mistake, he heard a cautious voice.

"Hubby... I mean, Mr. Raymond."

Maja was too nervous, struggling with the "hubby" she had let slip, and it just came out.

Maja's nails were practically digging into her palm, "I'm sorry, I just..."

Ian's forehead twitched severely. The microphone in front of him was flickering, the ongoing meeting suddenly went quiet.

He had an urge to strangle this woman. He hit the meeting’s pause button, and looked up at her with a gloomy face.
