Zoey felt a warm comfort in her heart and quickly drifted off to sleep.

Although she thought their relationship progressed too quickly, her time with Fitch and Nolan was genuinely delightful. Fitch treated her well, and being the easy-going person she was, she quickly accepted him, even starting to like him a bit.

For the next few days, Fitch continued to take time off work to stay with her in the villa.

Every night, she couldn't escape his intense affections, which seemed to never tire him. She began to look more worn out, while his energy seemed to only increase. Zoey started to think of him as a kind of energy vampire.

After four days, upon her pleading, Fitch finally allowed her a night of rest, but only after she called him "hubby" ten times, much to her chagrin.

Taking advantage of the night off, she caught up on some much-needed sleep. But in the middle of the night, she woke up abruptly, looked at the ceiling, and felt for him beside her.

Fitch wasn't there. Hearing noises from the balcony, she walked over. The balcony door was slightly ajar, and Fitch's voice was soft.

"What does he mean, wanting to come back?"

Whatever the response was, it made him smirk. Fitch absentmindedly played with his lighter.

"So, the girl we set up for Henry isn't to his liking? She's quite the catch, a real blue-blooded princess, even if she's from the wrong side of the blankets. It's Henry who's punching above his weight here."

Zoey felt like she'd been struck, wondering if she'd heard wrong. Fitch hadn't noticed her; he'd been too caught up in his bliss to keep his guard up.

"If he's not into her, we'll find someone else. Just keep him away."
