As they lazed around into the afternoon, Jack was eager for another round when Zoey, with cheeks flushed and not a patch of skin unblemished, slapped him without hesitation.

"Look at the time! Aren't you concerned about Nolan at all?" she gritted her teeth in frustration.

Jack, drenched in sweat, pleaded with her, playing dumb to continue.

"One last time, honey, I promise."

But drained, she eventually drifted back to sleep.
