"Beck, apologize."

Augus slammed the table, clearly serious this time.

Beck grew angrier and slumped into the chair next to him.

"I won't apologize. You might as well make me kneel in the chapel."

"Fine, then kneel there for three hours."

Beck had thought it would be for no more than an hour and turned to glare at Stella.

However, Stella wasn't looking at him. She kept her head down, speaking in a murmur.

Beck stood up defiantly. If kneeling in the chapel until he collapsed was what it took, he'd do it but never apologize to a woman like her.

Seeing Beck storm off, Augus rubbed his temples.

"Elle, why don't you stay for lunch?"

Stella, now behaving docilely, agreed, "Okay."

After an hour of kneeling in the chapel, Beck heard someone at the door and turned to see Stella holding an apple, coming to sit beside him.

She had brought a cushion for herself and took a bite of her apple.

Beck's frustration showed on his face, "This is a chapel. If you want to eat, go somewhere else."

He closed his eyes, trying to ignore Stella.

But the sound of her munching on the apple was persistent and irritating.

"Stella!"

Stella had finished her apple and glanced at her phone, "You still have an hour and fifty minutes, Beck. Are you hungry? Should I bring you an apple?"

"Get lost. Don't disturb me."

"And you kneeling here, worried about being disturbed?"
