Ian's face was cold as ice, his brows furrowed in seriousness. This stoic look only made him seem more mysterious and quite alluring.

Fannie's heart raced as she looked at him, her cheeks flushing a rosy hue. Then he said, "I'll have Jeff take you home."

Fannie's face fell at his words, her eyes quickly welling up with tears.

"Don't think I didn't notice, you met Penny in the restroom during dinner."

Ian had left the table, and Fannie had followed him, witnessing the two of them standing at the restroom door.

The vibe was clear. Something was up. The atmosphere had only cooled further when Ian returned to the table, especially after overhearing Penny's phone call.

Fannie felt uneasy, but she couldn't figure out what could be going on between the two.

"So what?" He stood in the doorway, cold and distant.

Fannie bit her lip, uncertain about his attitude.

"She is already married, isn't she? I think she's trying to lure you in."

She hadn't planned on bringing up Penny, but her beauty was hard to ignore. And she could actually be affecting Ian's mood? Fannie was unsure about this.

"Ian, are you really attracted to her?"

"Fannie, I'm already married."

"So, whether or not I'm attracted to her is none of your business. Jeff will take you home."

Her eyes reddened again at his words, stamping her foot in anger.

She cried as she stormed off.

Ian rubbed his temples, retreating back into the room and shutting the door behind him.When Jeff arrived, he brought with him a pile of new documents.

"Mr. Raymond, Samuel from EliteEdge called. He said..."

Ian took out his pen, scanning through the documents, "What did he say?"

"He asked if he could pursue your wife if you didn't like her or want to deal with her."

Samuel was a real jerk, thinking of pursuing someone else's wife and having the audacity to inform her husband.
