Maja got a call from the hospital, telling her that Neil had fallen down the stairs and was in critical condition.

All her exhaustion vanished instantly. She quickly put on her coat, her face turning pale as a ghost. She had been to this hospital before and knew the doctor in charge, and that's why he called her. When Maja got to the hospital, she saw Cristina sitting alone in the hallway, but she didn't seem worried.

Cristina sneered, looking Maja up and down.

"You dare to question me!"

Maja didn't respond, she just quietly sat down on a nearby chair.

Cristina's fingers were trembling. She didn't understand how Maja got here so soon. She was thinking, if Neil could be saved, she would surely pull his oxygen tube. That was the only way to solve the problem for good. Since she had done it, she had to make sure it worked!

Maja closed her eyes, only hoping that the door to the resuscitation room would open soon. Even though she and Neil had many differences, he was still her father, her family who had been with her all these years. After her mom passed away, she and her father were the closest people.

If Cristina hadn't appeared, their relationship would have remained good.
