Nathan held a pack of tissues and a cheap umbrella in his hand.

He quickly approached Maja, opened the umbrella, and handed her the tissues.

"Penny, you don't seem too happy?"

Maja was a bit shocked to hear his voice. She looked up at him, quickly wiped away her tears, and forced a smile.

"Nathan, what are you doing here?"

"I came to pick up some medicine for my sister. You know, she's got leg problems."

He sat next to her, holding the umbrella.

"It's so hot. How can you sit down here? What happened?"

Maja didn't feel close enough to Nathan to share her personal issues.

"It’s just a little work problem."

Her mood changed quickly, and facing someone she wasn't very familiar with, she recovered quickly.

Only when she is alone can she truly cry her heart out.

Not far away, Ian returned to his car.

He irritably undid a few buttons on his shirt collar, looking sternly in the distance.

Maja, who had just been crying, was now smiling.

That cheap umbrella was above her head, but she didn't care. She was happily chatting with her husband.

Ian retracted his gaze, and immediately killed the little bit of affection.

Just then, Carlene called, asking him to come see her.

Carlene wasn't in the same hospital as Neil. Ian didn't reject her and drove to the hospital, and his face returned to its usual calmness.

But after driving a hundred meters, he couldn't help but glance at the rear-view mirror.

He could only see two blurry figures seemingly overlapping in the rear-view mirror.

Were they kissing?

He gripped the steering wheel tightly, feeling even more irritated.

His normally calm face was now extremely cold, almost hitting the car in front.

He stopped the car and rubbed his temples.

Just then, Carlene called again, asking where he was.

"I'll be there soon."

Ever since Ian sent Dana overseas, Carlene had become somewhat cautious, always feeling that Ian was no longer on her side.

She had been in the hospital these past few days and was finally able to be discharged today. If she stayed any longer, Ian might not be hers anymore.

Ian took her to complete the discharge procedures after he arrived at the hospital.
