Neil's life lately had been a series of knocks and challenges, and his health has gone from bad to worse.

They watched as Maja walked up to Neil, calling a doctor on her phone while pulling out a DNA test report to look at.

Hattie et out a sneer.

"You can shove off. This is a Pennyfeather family matter. You've got no business here."

No sooner had she finished speaking than Maja called in the bodyguards from outside.

"Kick these lowlifes out!"

Hattie, fuming, picked up a teapot to throw, but Maja's sharp gaze stopped her cold.

"If you throw that, I'll have the guards teach you a lesson."

Hattie froze in fear and quietly put the teapot back down.

Maja tried calming Neil down while waiting for the doctor to arrive.

The bodyguards had already escorted the intruders out.

Neil had been helped to the upstairs bedroom and laid on the bed, looking weaker than ever.

When the doctor arrived, he examined Neil and suggested he get more rest.

Maja handed the doctor samples of her own hair and Neil's.

"I need another DNA test done. Please get it to me ASAP."

"Okay."

As Maja came downstairs, she saw the maid cleaning up the blood Neil had spat up. The food on the table had gone cold.

Just then, a delivery guy showed up.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, this is a birthday present from your husband."

Her husband? Ian?

Maja wasn't in the best mood. She'd been wondering, if she wasn't really Neil's daughter, then where was her real family?

She accepted the delivery, a part of her getting a bit hopeful about the gift.

It was a natural response. After all, it was her birthday.

But when she saw the cold, complicated divorce agreement, she couldn't help but feel it was a bit ironic.
