In Greenfield, the number of women who wanted to get in bed with Ian was off the charts, but Maja was the only one who got ticked off by Ian's constant advances.

Ian saw her turn away, refusing to listen to his spiel.

He took off his pricey suit and spread it out on the fancy tiled floor.

Then he lifted her and placed her on it.

Maja didn't put up a fight this time.

After all, how many chances did one get to sit on a suit as expensive as Ian's in a lifetime?

Besides, she just managed to score a deal with Judson thanks to Ian's fame.

Feeling her resistance melt away, Ian leaned over to kiss her.

One standing, one sitting, they kissed for fifteen minutes until the ring of his phone interrupted them. It was probably his business partners calling because he hadn't returned their calls.

Then he let go of her.

Maja was panting with her forehead against his shoulder, inhaling his subtle scent that was cool yet elegant. It was as though he was sucking out her soul.

Ian took the call right next to her ear, then said to the person on the other end of the line, "I'll be right there."

After hanging up, he patted her back gently.

Maja could feel the slight vibration of his chest through the thin fabric of his shirt when he spoke since she was leaning against him.

He asked, "Who did you come here with tonight?"

"I came alone," she replied.

Knowing that Ian had business to attend to, she got off the suit which he nonchalantly tossed into a nearby garbage bin.

He dumped such an expensive suit without a second thought.

"Your short hair looks good," he complimented her.

Maja picked up her bag, blushing from his praise, her ears turning red.

"Thank you," she responded.

Ian, now in only a shirt, was about to ask Jeff to see her out when he heard Nathan's voice.

"Penny."

Nathan's forehead was covered in sweat, he seemed to have rushed back to look for her after seeing Judson out.

He turned to Ian and politely greeted, "Mr. Raymond."

Ian's eyes became cold, and the little joy he felt evaporated.
