Maja wasn't fazed by the sarcasm at all. She looked up at him and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Mr. Gallegos, I've already made it crystal clear that I'm married. There's no need to get all riled up and spiteful just because I turned down your advances, is there?"

Her voice was clear and cool, echoed around them, and followed by a few snickers from the crowd.

Kurt's face instantly turned a shade of purple and his fists clenched.

"You're saying I pursued you?"

Maja arched an eyebrow, a look of feigned helplessness on her face.

The silence now was more powerful than any words. She didn't need to say anything more; she just let the onlookers draw their own conclusions.

Indeed, it was Kurt who had brought her here initially, and it was only after hearing that Maja was married that his attitude suddenly chilled.

Was he badmouthing her just because he couldn't have her?

Though Maja's behavior might be a little odd, but to target a woman just because she rejected him was going a bit too far.
