Once Maja got back to her seat, Kurt started to mock her.

"You really think splashing a billion would make Mr. Raymond look at you?"

Maja found it amusing and decided to ignore him.

She knew Kurt was in a foul mood, and the more she talked to him, the happier he was.

Kurt was pissed off when Maja gave him the cold shoulder. It was the first time a woman had ever ignored him!

Meanwhile, Dana Shepard, who was standing not far from Ian, was provoked by Maja's performance.

She had thought Maja would embarrass herself at the casino, but instead, she stole the show. People around them were all talking about her, some even said they'd hire Maja for their projects...

She was fuming. How could this woman be so lucky?

She glared daggers at Maja.

Maja, however, looked like she was oblivious to everything, returning to her cautious style of play. She had wanted to leave a while ago, but she was winning and didn't have a good excuse to leave, especially with Kurt hovering around her.

When she saw Ian getting up, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She generously pushed the remaining chips towards Kurt, "Mr. Gallegos, thanks for bringing me here tonight. I had a blast."

These chips were nothing fancy, a dime a dozen in the house.

Kurt's face turned red, his fingertips started to tremble.

He wanted to lash out, but Maja was already heading towards Ian.

With Ian there, he had to hold back, nearly losing his cool.

Dana was equally indignant.

She wanted to follow, but after offending Ian last time, she dared not act rashly, instead, she could only glare at Maja's receding figure.

Maja slowed down, walked up to Ian, and politely said, "Mr. Raymond, I'll walk out with you. This place is huge, I'm afraid I might get lost."

Her words were obviously an excuse as the waiters here were professionally trained to escort guests out.
