Maja stepped into the art gallery where the exhibition was being held, looking all fresh and crisp. She stood out among a bunch of business elites.

She scanned the crowd and quickly found her target, the president of Synthetech Industries, Luis.

"Sorry, did I come late?"

She walked over confidently and greeted Luis.

A few school leaders were gathered around Luis. This year, he was sponsoring all the electronic equipment for Solstice College's microcomputer course and donating a hundred thousand air conditioners.

Luis was in a suit, not looking the least bit like a shrewd businessman. Instead, he had that certain aura that came with his age. His well-exercised physique made him look more energetic than most.

"Miss Maja, you're finally here. I thought you forgot."

They had met when Maja designed a house for him.

"You invited me. How could I not come?"

During their conversation, Maja turned to a sharp-looking middle-aged woman. "Teacher, long time no see."

Dalia was 35, dressed neatly with a pair of black-framed glasses on her nose, exuding a mature female charm.

But she didn't seem too pleased being called "teacher" by Maja.

Luis chimed in, "Still calling her 'teacher'? Dalia has been promoted to director this year."

Dalia's gaze on Maja became stern for a moment, then she greeted Maja with a smile.

"It turns out you know Luis."

Luis chuckled, "The house I was most satisfied with was designed by her. I knew she graduated from the art apartment of Solstice College, so I invited her to accompany me to this year's exhibition."

"I see."

Dalia looked at Maja who was dressed in affordable clothes, and didn't say anything else.

Maja stood beside Luis, first talking about the house, then switched to talking about the exhibition when she noticed his interest in the paintings.

She explained methodically, including the brush strokes, the color inspirations.
