Phelps seemed intrigued and gave a nod.

When the clock struck nine, all that remained for everyone was to enjoy the view and chat leisurely.

By this time, most people had stopped eating, especially the celebrities, who were particularly strict about their dietary standards.

Maja had changed into another dress. She couldn't help but chuckle, thinking of the four dresses Maria had stuffed into her suitcase.

At that time, she thought it was unnecessary; two would have been enough.

Who would have thought she would stain one on the first night? What's next? Someone splashing wine on her and having to change again?

As she stepped out of the corridor and turned the corner, she bumped into Phelps.

Unlike Ian and Fitch, Phelps didn't need to schmooze around. After having dinner at dusk, he went upstairs to sleep. Now he was planning to go out to catch some sea breeze.

"Dr. Herrington." Maja greeted him politely.

Phelps took a glance at her outfit; she looked stunning.

Even though this dress couldn't compare to the one her grandfather gave her, both were made of top-notch materials, accentuating her slim figure and delicate skin.

Phelps hesitated for a few seconds before tentatively calling out, "Ms. Pennyfeather?"

Maja offered him a smile and said, "Didn't you recognize me because of my makeup tonight?"

He looked at her hand and asked, "How's your hand injury?"

"It's healed, thank you."

He pressed the elevator button, and they both stepped in.

He asked her, "Which floor are you heading to?"

"Fifth floor. I haven't had dinner yet, and I remember they serve supper there."

Phelps then pressed the button for the fifth floor for her, while he pressed the sixth for himself.

The seventh floor didn't have a deck; it only had accommodation rooms. If he wanted to enjoy the sea breeze, it's better to do it from a higher place.

When they reached the sixth floor, he didn't leave but asked a question.

"Is your full name Maja Pennyfeather?"

Maja felt a pang in her heart, but she nodded slowly.

"Are you Ian's wife?"

"Dr. Herrington, someone is calling you."

Phelps turned around, and indeed, someone was waving at him, a familiar face from his circle.

But he just glanced and turned back, saying, "No need to change the subject; I want to know if you are Ian's wife."

Maja thought about her impending divorce in two months, so admitting or not didn't really matter to her.

If she admitted it, maybe after the divorce she could use this status to get a quick appointment with him.

After all, it was really difficult to book an appointment with Phelps.
