Ian's breathing picked up after hearing Fitch's suppressed excitement.

Ian sat in his office, waiting in silence for Fitch.

Fitch arrived quickly, bringing the test results: "Now we just need to trace the movement of this notebook for the past three days."

Ian rubbed his temples, feeling a mix of emotions.

"Fitch, let's keep this under wraps for now."

Ian rubbed his temples again. "Alright, you can go for now."

Carlene was a little surprised to see him not press further, but she didn't say anything more, afraid of tipping her hand. She left immediately.

Ian and Fitch stayed, not revealing anything to Carlene due to the importance of Eric's issue.

"Fitch, have you heard anything about the Shepards recently? If the fingerprint on the notebook Carlene gave me was left three days ago, could it be that my brother showed up to save her? She didn't seem to believe it herself. I think she knows there's no way my brother's fingerprint could be on that notebook."
