Maja froze in place; it took her a moment to process what just happened.

Just in the nick of time, Ryan busted in from outside, blocking the vase with his body.

“If you hit him again, he’s going to bite the dust.”

“Penny, come and stop him.”

Ryan was beside himself, grabbing the vase from his cousin.

It was only then that Maja went to Carlos, tentatively checking his breathing.

His breath was weak; he may not only be unable to act in the future but might not even stand up again.

She felt like she’d wasted all her time tonight.

Sucking in a deep breath, she immediately dialed 911.

Meanwhile, Ian was silently watching her.

Maja frowned, about to say something when he grabbed her wrist and dragged her away.

Ryan was left to deal with the mess, helplessly calling some contacts to clear out the bar within five minutes.

Once outside, Maja yanked her hand away from Ian.

Ian angrily pinned her against a nearby tree. “You can just hook up with anyone? Don't you have any shame?”

Maja was initially grateful for his intervention; even though he messed up her plan, at least he helped.

But after hearing his accusation, she got pissed too.

“If Mr. Raymond thinks that way, there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Ian was taken aback, his face growing even colder.

He pulled her into his car.

“What’s with you, resorting to guys like that? Why not come to me? Don’t I have more dough?”

He started to undress her.

Maja felt a pang in her heart, like her dignity was being cruelly trampled.

Whether she was Maja or Penny, she had no dignity before this man.

“I didn’t go to you. I’m just fed up.”

She lowered her lashes, her tone cold. “And if it wasn’t for Mr. Raymond’s rush to help Carlene, I wouldn’t be in this mess, so why the hypocrisy now?”

Ian took her directly to a hotel. Maja kept struggling, but his grip was iron.

Just as she stepped into the hotel, her pants were peeled off.

He yanked off his tie and bound her hands.

She was placed in a humiliating position, fear creeping in. Her voice softened a bit.

“Mr. Raymond, what are you doing?”

Ian crouched down, examining carefully.

Maja felt extremely embarrassed, trembling with anger.

Only after half an hour of inspection did he finally relax a bit, wiping his fingers with a tissue nearby.

It seemed like she hadn’t been with anyone.

Maja gritted her teeth, and the moment her hands were freed, she started throwing punches and kicks.
