She felt him about to jam that pigeon egg-shaped ring onto her finger, and her hands instinctively clenched into fists.

Ian scowled and immediately forgot to be gentle. He tried to pry her finger open and forced the ring on.

Maja jerked her hand away. The ring flew through the air and landed somewhere unknown.

She didn’t say a word. Neither did Ian.

Three minutes was passed before she slightly hunched her shoulders.

“Mr. Raymond, you might be a bit tipsy.”

Ian's eyes were red. He grabbed her chin and kissed her without hesitation.

Maja pushed him away without hesitation and even slapped him.
