Nathan was just standing nearby, he knew what was going on in Ian's mind, so he kept his mouth shut, just standing quietly on the side.

Ian just finished a cookie all chill-like, then instructed Maja to give Nathan some tasks.

"Got any coffee?"

"Yeah, I'll whip it up right away."

Maja nodded and tossed the cookie wrapper into a nearby bin.

Ian watched her, feeling super comfy, finding her more and more likable.

A few minutes later, Ian pulled her in and gave her lips a peck.

"Penny, you are natural at being a secretary."

Before he could finish his sentence, the sound of a cup crashing came from the door.

Maja quickly pushed Ian away, seeing Nathan standing at the door, his hands covered in coffee, the cup shattered on the floor, obviously startled by their antics.

He quickly picked up the shards, apologized hastily, and went off to prepare a fresh cup of coffee.

Maja frowned, starting to suspect that Ian did that on purpose.

But what could have been his motive?

She turned her head to look at Ian, but Ian was already engrossed in some paperwork as if he had no idea Nathan would show up.

The meeting with Judson went smoothly, with extra hands on deck, the Greenfield Gardens project was expected to be finished in a fortnight.

Maja nodded, stood up and shook hands with Judson.

Judson glanced at Maja, then at Ian, his gaze full of meaning.

Back at the Raymond Corporation, Carlene was waiting at the office entrance.

Carlene looked worn out, the money that she borrowed from Edith was not enough, she felt that Edith still wanted her to marry Ian.

Maja quickly retreated into the lift, even Ian didn't have time to stop her.

He turned his head to look at the waiting Carlene, his expression calm.
