Maja closed her eyes, wondering how long she could last before giving up Cornelia's whereabouts.

By the time the sand was up to her chest, her breathing was strained, and she felt uncomfortably squeezed.

Omar stood casually at the edge of the pit and gave her another chance, saying,

"Whenever you're ready to talk, you can come out."

No sooner had he finished his words than he received a sturdy kick in the back.

Omar nearly fell headlong into the pit; it had been a long time since anyone had dared to challenge him like that.

He turned around to see Ian's gaze, cold and piercing.

Ian walked over, throwing a punch without a word.

"Damn you!"

Omar covered his eyes and cursed, his chest almost exploding with anger, he retaliated.

Ian's clenched fist was trembling, his eyes filled with dark rage, his voice turned incredibly hoarse, as he yelled,

"Maja! Are you okay?"

The pit Maja was being buried in was over six feet high, so she couldn't see what was happening above, but she easily recognized Ian's voice as she assured him,

"I'm fine!"

After saying that, she felt a bit of tightness in her chest.

From above, the sound of fists hitting flesh and Omar's cursing could be heard clearly.

The bodyguards standing around didn't dare to intervene. Who didn't know Ian?

Both men were notorious, crossing either could mean not seeing tomorrow's sunrise!

Omar was kicked down the slope, tumbling several times.

Ian was superior in combat skills and was punching like a man possessed, Omar was at a disadvantage.

After being punched several times in the face, Omar spat out a tooth.

The two fought for half an hour though it was a one-sided fight before Fitch and Tyler managed to intervene.

Fitch held back Ian, and Tyler held Omar.

Even though they were separated, their eyes were still spitting fire, glaring at each other with intense hatred, wishing they could kill each other on the spot!

Ian broke away from Fitch’s grip and rushed towards the pit.

Arriving at the edge he saw Maja was looking up at him.

Immediately, Ian saw the distinct slap mark on her cheek. Although her face wasn't swollen, it was glaring enough.

"Damn!"

He cursed and turned around to deliver a flying kick to Omar's stomach.
