Echoes of a Forsaken Heart novel Chapter 225

The man, clad in a simple button-down shirt tucked neatly into his slacks, exuded an air of casual elegance. Even in such a setting, he stood out, his demeanor effortlessly superior.

Natalia's gaze momentarily lingered on him before she intended to look away.

But the man suddenly looked her way.

Caught off guard, Natalia found herself locked in his gaze.

She awkwardly diverted her eyes.

Hamilton caught her reaction and a smile unwittingly danced on his lips. He glanced at Natalia, then his gaze shifted to Ronin standing beside her.

The smile remained, but a chill crept into his eyes.

He approached Natalia in a few strides.

“Congratulations, Ms. Jenkins.”

Natalia nodded uneasily.

“Thank you.”

Hamilton chuckled. “Ms. Jenkins, why did you try to avoid me just now?”

Natalia felt a bit guilty under his questioning.

Ronin muttered under his breath, “Because you’re not exactly a catch.”

Hamilton gave him a cold look, then turned to Natalia, lowering his voice, “Natalia, I’ve acquired the NorthSuburb property.”

Natalia was taken aback.

She looked at Hamilton in shock; the property was crucial to her, but it didn’t seem like something Hamilton needed.

What was he up to?

Hamilton smiled. “If Ms. Jenkins is willing, I’d like to offer it as a gift for today.”

Natalia’s fingers tightened.

She smiled at Hamilton, “Mr. Fowler, I can’t accept such a valuable gift.”

Hamilton’s gaze deepened. “Then which property do you desire? I’ve acquired a few others you were interested in. Which one would you like?”

Natalia was stunned, turning to look at Ronin, who was equally perplexed.

Those properties, which he had been eyeing, how did they suddenly end up with this guy?

“Hamilton, are you joking?”

Hamilton laughed. “Does Mr. Joyner take me for someone who jokes about such matters?”

Ronin, visibly infuriated, clenched his teeth. “Hamilton! Must you stoop so low?”

Hamilton leisurely sipped his drink. “Mr. Joyner, any objections? Feel free to buy them all if you wish. We can negotiate a price.”

Ronin was seething, “Hamilton, you think I won’t dare?”

Hamilton’s attention, however, remained on Natalia.

“I just wanted to give you a gift, Natalia. Congratulations on making it this far.”

Even though he wasn’t thrilled to see her becoming so sought after—the brighter she shone, the more admirers she attracted—he still wanted her happiness.

Natalia clenched her fists.

“Hamilton, I really can’t accept this gift.”

With that, she turned to mingle with other guests, her mind in turmoil.

Even her interactions at the party were distracted.

Ronin caught her expression.

“Natalia, you’re not seriously swayed by that piece of land, are you? Whatever you want, I can buy those properties too.”

Natalia glanced at Ronin.

“Ronin, stop causing trouble. President Joyner sent you here to do business, not to squander money.”

Ronin was fuming.

“So, you’re really going to accept it?”

Natalia, preoccupied with the guests, finally replied, “Accepting it or not is my own business.”

Realizing her stance, Ronin almost exploded with frustration.

As the opening dance music began, Hamilton approached.
