Echoes of a Forsaken Heart novel Chapter 241

Hamilton paused for a moment, then he remembered mentioning his visit to the herbalist when they had parted ways.

He swallowed hard, his voice low as he said, "Okay."

Then, he chuckled, "But honestly, whether we can have kids or not, it doesn't matter to me."

Natalia, however, let out a laugh, "But I want children."

Her voice couldn't hide the disappointment.

"Today, while talking to my mom in the ICU, I wanted to tell her I hoped she'd see me get married and have kids. But as I was about to say it, I realized I might not be able to have children, so I only mentioned getting married."

Her eyes blinked, fighting back the tears, "Hamilton, I want to be a mom too."

Hamilton felt a tightness in his chest.

It took him a while before he responded in a hoarse voice.

"Alright, I'll make sure we find a doctor who can help."

Natalia just nodded, remaining silent.

The room fell into quietness.

Neither of them knew when they fell asleep.

Until the next morning, Natalia felt something pressing against her.

Having spent so much time together, she knew exactly what it was.

Just as she was about to move away, Hamilton suddenly kissed her.

Natalia was startled and pushed him away.

"Hamilton, we haven't even brushed our teeth, and you're kissing me?"

Hamilton laughed, "Not brushing our teeth is nothing. I've kissed other parts of you."

Natalia was confused, "Kissed me where?"

Hamilton didn't answer, just kept gazing at Natalia with desire in his eyes.

Talking about such things early in the morning was indeed not suitable.

His desire was already evident, and now, recalling the image of her legs draped over his shoulders from that night only intensified it.

His Adam's apple bobbed twice.

Then, leaning close to her ear, he whispered, "Shall we reminisce?"

Natalia instinctively knew it wasn't anything good and quickly got out of bed.

"Hamilton, stop it, the doctor will be here to check on us soon."

Hamilton smiled regretfully, "It's okay, there will be other opportunities."

Besides, he knew he couldn't really do anything right now.

So, it was best to let it go, to avoid feeling frustrated later.

Natalia was discharged that day and went straight to the office.

Meanwhile, Hamilton had handed over all responsibilities to Alden.

She realized she couldn't always be with Hamilton.

On her own, she never thought about such things.

But these past few days with Hamilton, that rascal, she started to feel the urge too.

Especially after he brought it up this morning, she found herself recalling some very vivid scenes.

A hotel, a bathroom, a washbasin.

The images were blurry but intensely stirring. She wasn't sure if those events had actually happened or if it was just her imagination from not having experienced it for so long.

After lunch, Natalia hurried to the office.

Upon arriving, she went straight to the meeting room.

The land in NorthSuburb that Hamilton had transferred to her name was finally hers.

Natalia didn't refuse it anymore.

But she didn't take advantage of Hamilton either. After selling the land to Ron Group at market price, she transferred the money back to Hamilton.
