Chapter 73
Natalia’s brows knitted together in an instant. But she quickly regained her composure.
This must be the mother of that fan, right?
She suddenly found the situation utterly ridiculous. Here she was, the victim, and yet it seemed like everyone was treating her as the villain!
Was forgiving the only right thing to do? Then who was going to pay for the hurt she endured?
A flicker of pain crossed Natalia’s eyes.
“Ma’am, please let go of me! And also, please get up; I can’t accept you kneeling like this!” she said, her voice tinged with anger.
At her words, the woman clung even tighter.
“Ms. Jenkins, I’m begging you, please forgive my daughter and my husband. Ask for anything. Even if it bankrupts us, it doesn’t matter. Please forgive them!”
Natalia let out a scoff, “You’re begging the wrong person!” Her voice remained calm, “You should be asking your daughter to tell the truth and to seek leniency instead of begging me for forgiveness!”
The woman paused a little, “What do you mean by asking my daughter to tell the truth? She just acted on impulse, and why are you so fixated on holding it against her?”
Natalia laughed, “I am clearly a victim, yet why are you all fixated on holding it against me?”
“Victim? Bullshit!” the nurse muttered under her breath nearby, “She’s nothing but a homewrecker!”
The woman’s crying intensified, “Yes, Zara was wrong, but we’ve apologized. What more do
you want?”
Natalia regarded her coldly, “I don’t want anything. I just want the law to give me justice,
that’s all.”
The woman became frantic, her eyes still wet with tears but filled with resentment. “Justice for you? If you hadn’t been the other woman, my daughter would never have hurt you. She was just doing what she thought was right, so how dare you demand legal action against her!? And isn’t my husband’s broken leg payment enough?”
The nurse chimed in hastily, “Natalia, you’re nothing but a cheap mistress. Do you really think you’re that precious?”
Natalia’s frown deepened, “What do you mean by your husband’s leg? Explain yourself!”
The woman stopped crying and stood up, her eyes filled with hatred as she faced Natalia. “Stop playing innocent! You sent someone to beat up my husband, right?”

Chapter 73
Natalia glared at her, “I’ve never hurt your husband!”
“My husband said himself that he was beaten up by that man with you. You still deny it? Natalla, you’ve ruined our entire family!” After saying that, the woman broke down in tears
again.
Natalia’s brow was still furrowed tightly, but her mind was in turmoil.
Dazed, it took a while before she could gather her thoughts a little.
The woman was still weeping, and the nurse continued to fan the flames.
Natalia walked out of the room with the vial in her hand. She finally called out as she reached
the door.
“Doctor, please remove these troublemakers from my room!”
The staff had heard about the incident with the fan and gave Natalia peculiar looks, but letting someone cause such a scene in a hospital was out of line. So they escorted the
woman out.
As she was led away, she cried out, “Natalia, you have a heart of stone. I curse you with a miserable life!”
Natalia just slammed the door shut.
The room fell quiet, but her expression grew even more troubled.
She hadn’t expected Hamilton to get into a fight with the fan’s father. She had always thought that Hamilton was indifferent to the whole affair and always believed that he truly didn’t care about the baby.
But now she suddenly wasn’t sure how to feel about Hamilton anymore. She didn’t understand why he had become violent.
Regardless of the reason, Natalia couldn’t deny that her heart was in disarray.
Had he, in the moment of learning about the baby’s loss, felt any pain? Had he ever felt sorrow for the baby’s departure out of her sight?
Natalia’s heart was a tangled mess.
When Hamilton returned, he found Natalia sitting on the bed, lost in thought. He raised an eyebrow, then his expression darkened.
He approached and removed the IV from Natalia’s hand, “Natalia! What are you thinking.
about?”
Natalia snapped back to reality and noticed a swelling on her hand. Maybe the needle had. been dislodged due to the sharp movements she just made.
She lowered her gaze, pressed a cotton swab to it, and thanked Hamilton.
Chapter 73
Hamilton’s expression soured even more, “How cheap is your thanks, Natalia, that you can throw it around so easily?”
Natalia’s lips twitched, but she said nothing.
Hamilton glanced at her before leaving to call a nurse.
After the nurse reinserted the IV and left, Hamilton sat on a nearby couch, eyes heavy upon Natalia.
After a long silence, he finally asked, “What happened?”
Natalia looked up. When her eyes met Hamilton’s, they were rimmed with red.
