Enchanted Nightfall: Falling for Destiny ( Quintessa and Tyrone ) novel Chapter 361

Lilian writhed in pain. She tried to get up, but her knees and arms hurt too much to move.

She bellowed, “You bitch, get away.”

Quintessa sighed, “I rarely get to see you, Auntie, why rush me away so soon? We should absolutely have a good chat, don’t you think, Auntie?”

“Your glasses fell off.” Suddenly, a voice overhead broke the tension, its icy tone like a pile of ice cubes suddenly dumped on you. Cold, piercing, but not in the least bit refreshing; it felt cold! As if the ice was pressing directly against your skin, chilling you to the bone.

Quintessa’s gaze drifted down to a pair of feet a step away, black handmade leather shoes, straight long legs. Quintessa’s mind had only one thought: tall, slim. Finally, against the light, she saw that face, and Quintessa’s heart skipped a beat.

This was the man she’d seen in the car, young and handsome, yet there was a decayed coldness about him from head to toe.

He was pale, with a sickly complexion, delicate features, slightly red lips, sunken cheeks, and wore rimless glasses. Scholarly yet unnervingly beautiful — as if he could be mistaken for a stunning woman with just a wig and no makeup.

Seeing this person, Quintessa felt an inexplicable danger, as if a hidden beast lay in wait, terrifyingly close.

Suddenly, Quintessa was embraced from behind, and Tyrone’s voice calmly stated, “Andrew, my friend, it’s been years!”

Hearing Tyrone’s voice, Quintessa immediately felt warmth spread through her, and the danger gradually receded.

She slowly breathed a sigh of relief, realizing she might rely on Tyrone more than she thought.

Andrew Yates’s slightly red lips uttered faintly, “Indeed, it’s been a long time since we last met. I never thought I’d encounter you here.”

Tyrone chuckled, “Life is full of surprises, isn’t it?”
