His mouth twitched irritably. “Can you stop being so nosy? I don’t have those feelings for her. If I do, I’ll talk to her about it when I have the time.” 

I was taken aback and asked, “You don’t like her?” 

He shook his head and explained, “It’s not that I don’t like her, but it’s not that kind of liking. She’s a good person, but I don’t want to get into a romantic relationship right now.” 

I was puzzled and asked, “You don’t want to? Why? You’re almost thirty, you old man. You’re not planning on being a bachelor for life, are you?”
