Fated to Love You Again novel Chapter 231

Chapter 231 The Romantic Kiss Under the Fireworks

Shawn shook his head and said, "No. I didn't use excuses this time. I just spoke from the heart."

"I said that my girlfriend and I fell in love at first sight at this school. We were both students at this school, so we came back and wanted to visit the school."

Norah asked, "And he said yes?"

"Yeah!" Shawn nodded.

It was only once Norah entered that she realized the reason why the security guard had immediately agreed to Shawn's request.

It turned out that the security guard on duty today was a middle-aged woman.

"Well, people like to look at handsome guys these days!" Norah couldn't help but exclaim.

Norah said as she thought of something. Suddenly, she put on an evil smile and said, "Shawn, with your looks, even if I sell you, you should be worth some money."

Shawn said coldly, "Unfortunately, Miss Norah, I won't give you that chance. And I'll be stuck with you."

Shawn looked around the playground and asked, "Where did you meet me back then?"

Norah immediately pointed with his finger and said, "There. Over there. You carried me to the clinic."

The moment her words broke off, Shawn took Norah's hand and walked to that spot.

The next moment, she saw Shawn crouch down in front of her.

Norah did not react. And she froze.

Then, she heard Shawn's voice. "Come up. I'll carry you."

"Are you sure you want to carry me?"

Given how few people there were in this playground, their actions must have attracted almost everyone's attention.

"Yeah. Norah, I don't remember, but I want to take you back to what it was like. Also, I'd like to experience it again."

"From now on, it will never be your memory alone again. It'll be a memory we share."

Norah's heart trembled.

She reached out and immediately wrapped her arms around Shawn's neck. Then Shawn carried her steadily on his back.

It was a bit far from here to the clinic.

Norah was on his back. Her chest was pressed against his.

She felt the same way as she did back then.

She was breathing heavily. She had a vague consciousness, but she could still feel the heart of the man carrying her beating faster.

The night was gentle. Neither of them spoke.

All they could hear was breathing.

When they reached the clinic, Norah was about to get off. Suddenly, she heard Shawn's deep and strong voice. "Don't move."

Then he turned around and continued to walk toward the playground.

"Why don't you put me down?" Norah asked.

"To make up for the year."

After a pause, he continued, "If I had known that the little girl I was carrying behind me would become the love of my life, my wife, and the person I would have spent my life with, I would never have forgotten you."

"I wouldn't have left you either. I would carry you from the clinic back to your dormitory again, as I am doing now. Then, I would ask for your name and contact information."

Norah smiled in the gentle night.

She tightened her arms and hugged Shawn's neck a little tighter.

She whispered soft words in his ear.

"Thank you, Shawn."

She thanked him for making all her love worthwhile.

And she thanked him for making it so she didn't have the regrets she had back then.

It turned out that even though one missed out on so many things in this world, it didn't matter. One day, one would always find ways to make it up on the best day.

It was just like that moment.

When Shawn carried Norah on his back, Norah felt that she was the happiest girl in the world.

Shawn put Norah down when he reached the playground.

Norah asked with concern, "How are you? Are you tired?"

"Huh?" Shawn raised an eyebrow and said, "Miss Norah, are you questioning my physical strength?"

Norah knew she couldn't question certain things. Immediately, she waved her hand and said quickly, "No. No. No. I believe you."
