Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1366

Emily suddenly looked up, her face a total wreck.

After Charlie finished speaking, he realized that he might have put his foot in his mouth. His expression didn't change as he smoothly changed the subject, "Is it really the Ferber Family who won't let Kya be a flower girl?"

"Kya is a bit too young indeed," Emily explained.

"Don't give me that baloney!" Charlie's face turned serious, "Who the hell do the Ferber Family think they are!"

He then stood up, ready to go to the living room to grab his phone.

"Charlie!" Emily called out immediately, "The wedding's over, what are you planning to do?"

"The wedding's indeed over, but the Ferber Family is still alive and kicking!" Charlie's expression turned icy cold.

Emily had seen his temper tantrums countless times and clearly knew that once he lost it, things could go south. She quickly said, "Kya doesn't understand what's going on, and we won't have any dealings with the Ferber Family in the future. Let's just let it slide!"

"Emily Sullivan, it's because you always back down that people walk all over you. It's one thing for you to be a pushover, but now you're letting Kya get bullied too?"

Thinking of the snide comments and mockery Emily endured today, and how Kya was scorned by the Ferber Family, while Emily didn't stand up for herself or Kya, but kept compromising, pissed Charlie off

And now she was trying to stop him from standing up for Kya, her appeasing attitude only served to make Charlie, who was already a bit ticked off, even more steamed!

"So, what do you want me to do? Fall out with the Ferber Family and ruin Elliott's wedding?" Emily's eyes were red.

"That's Elliott Sullivan's problem. If he can't handle it, that's on him. But I won't allow Kya to be wronged."

Emily said, "Charlie, don't go off the deep end. Kya is my daughter; you don't need to meddle!"

Charlie's gaze flickered, his anger extinguished by the sudden cold words, leaving him feeling utterly chilled.
