Estelle grinned, "She took over the family business right after graduation. After so many years of dealing with all kinds of people and situations, Luisa's little tricks are nothing to her."
Norah's eyes were filled with admiration, "If only I could become that strong one day."
Estelle gave her a look and shook her head lightly, "No, I hope you'll always stay as you are."
"Huh?" Norah was a bit puzzled.
Estelle just smiled without saying a word. If possible, who wouldn't want to be a girl who was protected by her family, spoiled by those around her, and knew nothing about the world's troubles? That was the happiest a girl could be.
...
When they arrived at the barbecue restaurant, Estelle didn't get out of the car, "I need to go back to the film set; you go in first."
"Okay!" Norah waved goodbye to Estelle, "See you."
"Be home early tonight!" Estelle reminded her again.
"Got it. Be safe!" Norah stood by the road, watching Estelle's car drive away. For some reason, she felt like Estelle was family. This feeling made her feel like she was still a kid.
Norah bit her lip, grabbed her backpack, and walked into the barbecue restaurant. The shop door had a ‘closed’ sign hanging on it.
Norah pushed the door open and laughed, "You've got customers; are you ready to open up?”
Damian was arranging tables and chairs with his staff. After hearing Norah’s voice, everyone turned to look at her.
“Norah!” Damian walked over cheerfully, “You’re here!”
“Yep, I got out of school early."
