Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 2156

Estelle raised an eyebrow, "Everyone thinks he's a real go-getter. Don't you think that's a good thing?"

Jonathan replied, "There's a difference between being driven and being obsessed. I think he's crossed the line. He's got ambition, sure, but it's all about the endgame with him. His feelings for Sophia don't hold a candle to his career aspirations. That kind of guy might make it big, but he's no Prince Charming for Sophia."

Estelle pondered for a moment, "Magdalen said something along those lines, too."

But Sophia was head over heels for Robin, and perhaps that was why their relationship was so lopsided from the get-go.

The one who fell in love first always paid a steeper price.

Jonathan's lips curled into a smirk, "Our two cents won't change a thing. It's up to Sophia. If she doesn't mind and actually digs his 'ambitious spirit,' then who are we to judge?"

"I think that's exactly how Sophia sees it."

"We can't meddle in matters of the heart, even if you're best buds with Sophia." Jonathan wrapped his arms around her, "Let's hit the hay. Stop worrying about it."

Estelle yawned and snuggled into his embrace, whispering, "Wake me if Sophia needs anything."

"Yeah, I will." Jonathan held her close, planting a kiss on the crown of her head, "Sleep tight."

Sophia slept until the crack of dawn. Groggy and disoriented, she blinked and wondered, "Am I in a hospital?"

Jason handed her a glass of water, "Estelle brought you here. How are you feeling?"

Before Sophia could answer, she caught sight of a nurse coming in with an IV bag, ready to insert the needle, and her eyes went wide with terror.

She called out as she saw two figures enter, "Estelle."

Estelle approached, "Feeling any better?"

Sophia greeted Jonathan as well, then eyed the needle in the nurse's hand with fear, "I'm all good, really good. No need for the needle."

The nurse offered a reassuring smile, "Just one more round, and you'll be on the mend quickly."

"No," Sophia quickly withdrew her hand under the covers.

The nurse stood there, slightly at a loss.
