Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 2249

Marina stared at him in shock, "You and Cindy broke up?"

"Yeah, ages ago. She kept nagging about marriage, and that's when I realized she was only in it for my money and family background!" Freddy said with a tinge of regret, "Truth be told, I've regretted letting you go from the moment we parted ways. I just couldn't swallow my pride to come find you."

He took a step closer, "Marina, I never really liked Cindy. You're the one I've always wanted."

Marina looked at him without saying a word, her expression not as resistant as before.

Across the lawn, Carson and Andrew, along with others, laughed as they made their way to the banquet hall. Carson's gaze unintentionally swept across the couple standing opposite.

He recognized Freddy in an instant.

But what was this scene unfolding before him?

He told Andrew and the others to go ahead while he leaned against a bench, casually observing the duo.

He thought Marina despised Freddy to the point of never wanting anything to do with him again. Yet, here was Freddy, wearing his heart on his sleeve, eagerly professing something, and there she was, looking somewhat mesmerized.

So much for being clear-headed. He had pegged her for someone who would never give a cheating jerk a second chance. Turns out she was just another fool in love!

Being a man himself, Carson could tell that Freddy's gaze held lust, not love.

And yet, she seemed moved!

Annoyed, Carson took out a cigarette, standing there with a look of someone watching a drama unfold, curious if Marina would fall for this jerk again.

On the other side

Freddy kept talking about how much he missed Marina since their breakup, even admitting that their encounter in the park was out of jealousy.
