Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 265

Estelle asked, "What about him?"

Millard said in a plain tone, "Mr. Lamont has something to deal with, so he asked you to go back first."

Estelle nodded. Midnight Bar was close to the Royal Mansion and located on the main street with bright lights, so she usually went back on her own even if Jonathan didn't come. Today, Jonathan specifically asked Millard to wait here to send her back to the Royal Mansion, probably because he was worried that the Burke family would cause her trouble again.

Even when he was angry, he still cared about her safety.

Back at the Royal Mansion, the room was pitch-dark, and for a moment, Estelle felt a little disappointed.

She understood why Jonathan was angry. He was upset that Norah was bullied by Nicolas and the Burke family, and he was angry with her for hiding it from him, especially since Manley even had helped with this.

This was the Lamont family's business, but he didn’t even know it and secretly owed Manley a favor.

What she didn't know was that Jonathan was angry not only at her for keeping secrets but also at her for confronting the Burke family members alone and even taking action without his knowledge. Fortunately, he was at Midnight Bar today. What if he wasn't? What if Austin intercepted Estelle with others at another location?

Estelle woke up in the middle of the night and saw that it was already two o'clock in the morning.

She got out of bed, opened the door, and saw the man sitting on the balcony smoking. There were no lights on in the living room, and under the moonlight, the man's cold and stern profile looked even more aloof.

Estelle walked over and sat across from him, "I thought you quit?"

Jonathan glanced at her with his deep eyes, and put out the cigarette in the ashtray, "Did I wake you up?"

"No, I was thirsty and came out for some water," Estelle said casually.

Jonathan leaned against the sofa and said in a light tone, "Go back to sleep."

Estelle got up but didn't leave. Instead, she sat down next to him, leaned her head on his shoulder, and whispered, "Can you not be angry anymore?"
