Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 272

During mealtime, Mrs. Lamont occasionally asked Estelle about her school lessons. Estelle would subtly steer the conversation towards Norah, so she could chat more with Mrs. Lamont.

Jonathan noticed her intention, and when their eyes casually met, he smiled almost imperceptibly.

Estelle quickly looked away, her face calm, but her mind tensed up.

Fortunately, Jonathan didn't give her a hard time. He just quietly ate his meal, and when the servant brought dessert, he subtly handed it over, placing it closest to Estelle.

As the meal was almost over, Jonathan finally spoke up, "Where are you going later, Ms. Macclain? I'm about to go out too and can give you a ride."

Estelle looked up and politely said, "No need, I can just take a taxi back."

Norah chimed in, "It's hard to get a taxi here. Let my uncle give you a ride since he's going that way."

Jonathan nodded, "My mom just asked me to look after you. Don't be shy!"

Estelle gave out a dry laugh, "Alright, then. Thanks, Mr. Lamont."

After the meal, Estelle bid farewell to Mrs. Lamont and Norah. Mrs. Lamont kindly smiled, "Come visit whenever you have time."

"Thank you for your hospitality!" Estelle thanked her again.

Jonathan waited by the door for Estelle, and when he heard her calling Mrs. Lamont "grandma," his brows involuntarily wrinkled, feeling a bit displeased.

When the two drove away from the Lamont family, Jonathan finally spoke up, "Could you not call my mom 'grandma'?"

He already thought their seven-year age gap was a generation gap, and her calling his mom "grandma" made him feel they had an additional chasm between them.
