Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 279

Estelle panted heavily, shivering, clutching Jonathan's shirt with such force that her fingers were white and trembling.

"It's okay, babe, everything is okay now!" Jonathan gently stroked her hair and whispered reassurances.

Estelle closed her eyes, gradually calming down, the red in front of her eyes fadingd into a warm yellow light.

She was drenched in sweat, and she lay limply in Jonathan's arms.

For a long time, neither of them spoke, Jonathan just held her tightly, his arm gently cradling her head.

Estelle completely came back to reality and got up from Jonathan's arms, looking pale but her voice steady, "I'm fine, I just... had a dream!"

Ever since she had been together with Jonathan, she hadn't dreamed about them for a long time, and even when she had, it was the image of the seven of them fighting side by side and ultimately winning.

She had automatically blocked out the scene of Tyrannosaurus and the others dying, and had never dreamed of that place before.

Perhaps it was because she saw Xavier today, her Sniper, that brought her back to that scene that haunted her for a lifetime.

"What kind of dream?" Jonathan cupped her face, curious about what kind of dream would send her into an emotional outburst and scare her like that.

Estelle's eyes looked a bit lost. In fact, on the day they were surrounded, she wasn't afraid. She was just angry and vengeful, killing until she felt a crazy pleasure, thinking that dying with Tyrannosaurus and the others maybe was the best ending for them.

But in the dream, when she went back to that warehouse, watching Wolf and Tyrannosaurus die, she was so panicked and frightened.

It was as if she knew in her heart that she would survive, but they had really died!

Estelle leaned her head on Jonathan's shoulder and spoke hoarsely, "I don't want to talk about it."

Jonathan thought she had dreamt of her abusive childhood, so he didn't press further, just kissed her cheek softly, whispering, "It's all in the past, I'm here now."
