Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 374

Estelle took a sip of water, lowered her eyes, and said slowly, "I closed my door when I call him. You didn't hear it."

Mr. Jarvis sneered, "Don't trick me just because I’m old. When two people are really in love, they can't bear to be apart for even a moment. If they do separate, they'd want to call each other several times a day. Your situation is obviously not normal!"

Estelle leaned forward, resting her jaw on one hand, "Grandpa, have you been in love too?"

Old Mr. Jarvis snorted and showed a contemptuous expression, "Of course."

"Grandpa, is the person you couldn't bear to be apart from for a moment my grandma?" Estelle asked curiously.

"Of course it's her. Who else could it be?" Under the twilight, Mr. Jarvis's muddy eyes seemed to reflect the afterglow of the sunset, exuding a gentle light, "Your grandmother and I were childhood sweethearts. Our love back then was very pure."

He finished speaking and snorted proudly, "Anyway, you young people nowadays won't be able to experience that."

Estelle pressed her lips together and smiled gently.

Mr. Jarvis glanced at her and spoke more seriously, "I'm old, and love is a matter for you young people. If you don't want me to interfere, I won't. But if that kid bullies you, you must report it to your grandpa. I got your back, and I won’t let any man hurt you.”

Estelle's nose tingled, and she nodded, "Mhm."

She turned to look at the lake in the twilight and whispered as if talking to herself, "He's really good to me."

She wasn't sure if their relationship was love, but on the day of the fire at Midnight Bar, she came out of the bathroom and saw Jonathan rushing into room 6616. Seeing his panicked expression, she was shocked and knew that he at least cared about her.

She thought there was more to their relationship than just being bed partners.

Since returning, she couldn't help but think of him from time to time, recalling the last time they were here, the manor, and his kindness to her before their quarrel.

Mr. Jarvis looked at her absent-minded appearance and laughed, "Missing him?"

Estelle's face blushed, and she stood up, "I'm hungry. I'm going to grab something to eat in the kitchen."
