Fragments of Desire: Marigold's Silent Departure novel Chapter 6

Lennon didn't expect her to return.

He looked up at her tear-streaked face, which seemed even more pitiful than before. Her lips were bitten, her eyes red and swollen from crying, but tears continued to slide down silently, as if she was holding back the chaos and despair within.

She seemed to have been agitated by something.

He leaned casually against the liquor cabinet.

"Are you sure?"

Marigold clenched her fingers. "I need money."

"The usual rule: take off your pants."

Lennon spoke nonchalantly, wanting to see if she would genuinely commit.

Marigold, sniffling, shut the door and entered, and began to take off her coat.

A thin layer of fabric was soon completely stripped off and cast aside on the floor.

Then came the pants.

With a "clack," the loose jeans hit the floor, leaving her in just undergarments.

Marigold reached behind her back, fumbling for the catch of her bra.

She closed her eyes and unfastened it without a second thought.

There was a sense of tragic resolve.

Lennon observed the girl before him with a composed calmness.

Her skin was fair, almost glowing under the lights, her waist so slender it seemed one could easily encircle it with one hand, her figure petite, her legs symmetric and graceful.

Her hair was tousled, clinging to her tear-streaked face, the quietness of her tears painting a portrait of vulnerability, almost soliciting violation.

The more she cried, the more it stirred the primal beast within a man.

This sentiment even eclipsed the little pity he had in his heart.

Seated on the coach, Lennon's eyes, deep and insightful, motioned her over. He said in an unchanging, cold voice.

"I'll give you twenty minutes. Be proactive. If you fail to arouse my interest, then turn around and get out."

Despite his harsh words, Marigold was not scared away.

She compressed her lips and advanced toward him, squatting to shorten the distance.

She was inexperienced, having never been in love, nor had she even watched any relevant movies.

Leaning forward, Marigold tilted her head and met his lips with hers.

The instant their lips touched, her mind went blank, her breathing sped up without her control.
