Where was he?
The city became a neon wonderland at night, bright and shining. Wearing a black cloak, Jaron stood on the streets, furrowed.
There was little spiritual energy, and the air was filthy. Was he in the Upper Realm
No!
Jaron's eyes roamed to the distant huge billboard and he was thunderstruck by the familiar scene. The memories he had buried deep in his mind came out again.
North River City! His hometown!
A thousand years!
A thousand years ago, Jaron was one of the dandies in North River City.
Although his parents were distinguished medical masters, he pursued nothing but sensual pleasures.
He just idled his life away.
He thought that his life would be fairly easy, until his parents died of a car accident.
Their competitors snatched away all their companies and properties.
Jaron remembered being looked upon when he tried to survive with his wife and child.
When Jaron thought that his life couldn't be worse, his wife, Ariana left with their child.
The person she turned to was Brennen Zouch, Jaron's rival who took away everything from his family.
When he heard this news, Jaron rushed to his former home. But before he could see Brennen, he was beaten into a coma and thrown into the river.
In a daze, Jaron was caught in an invisible whirlpool which kept turning him around and round.
By the time he regained consciousness, he was in another world.
The new world was filled with spiritual energy. Jaron decided to mend his way by studying medicine. After cultivating for a thousand years, he reached great success and became the peerless master. He ascended to the sky.
However, he didn't reach to the Upper Realm as expected, but ... returned to his hometown!
Check the time! He almost forgot.
It was October 31, 7 p.m. sharp. Jaron saw it clearly on the billboard.
There were two hours left!
If his memory didn't fail him, he would see the letter left by Ariana if he returned to the council house at nine o'clock.
There was something he would never forget, even after thousands of years.
Jaron thought he had already let it go.
However, when he discovered he could start over now, his heart raced.
Now, what should he do
He needed to go back home.
Following the guidance of his memory, Jaron returned to the 40-square-meter home with resentment.
Ariana was there!
