Abbey had never met anyone quite like Anthea.
Despite being only eighteen or nineteen, she was incredibly accomplished!
There's a saying that goes, "With great power comes great responsibility." Yet, Anthea seemed free from any trace of the arrogance often seen in those who have just begun to taste success.
Even after becoming the first person in the world to find a cure for cancer, she remained as humble as ever.
The fame, wealth, and glory that most people dream of meant nothing to her.
She couldn't care less about them.
Abbey had never admired anyone as much as she did Anthea. She was the first!
As they approached the parking lot of their apartment complex, they noticed a man standing by a car. Upon seeing them, he hurried over and said, “Hey there, do you happen to be the owner of this CloudP21589 car?”
It was Abbey’s car, and she nodded, “Yes, that’s mine.”
The man looked somewhat embarrassed as he said, “My name is Nanson, here’s my card. I accidentally scraped your car a bit when I was parking. If there are any costs for repairs, just give me a call.”
Abbey glanced at the business card.
Nanson.
The general manager at QuickSend Parcels.
She remembered Anthea mentioning her uncle worked in delivery.
Could this be Anthea’s uncle?
“Are you Ms. Yeager’s uncle?” Abbey asked, trying to connect the dots.
“You mean my niece Anthea?”
Abbey nodded eagerly, “Nice to meet you, Mr. Yeager, I’m Abbey. Ms. Yeager is like a mentor to me.”
Director Clement also quickly shook hands with Nanson, “Mr. Yeager, pleasure to meet you. I’m Greg, director of the Crescent Moon Medical Center. Ms. Yeager has been a great benefactor to our hospital! Next time you visit, we’ll make sure to give you the VIP treatment!”
Nanson was a bit taken aback, still processing everything long after Director Clement and Abbey had driven off.
His niece was truly remarkable.
Even a hospital director and doctors were singing her praises!
He remembered Crescent Moon Medical Center had recently made headlines, becoming the only top-tier hospital in Cloudcrest.
Nanson hurried home, only to find a large trophy sitting on the coffee table.
