Agnes started off, "Mariela, I appreciate your concern, but I've totally cut ties with that guy, there's no way we're getting together again, so you don't need to keep advising me about him."
Mariela replied with a smile, "Agnes, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm jealous or anything. We've been friends since we were kids and I've seen you get hurt once. I just don’t want to see you getting hurt again."
Agnes didn’t want to continue the conversation, "Mariela, there's one more thing I want to ask you. If my granny comes back, could you let me know right away?"
"Absolutely, I treat your granny like my own. Obviously, I want her to be safe, too."
That night, Agnes left the countryside and headed back to Willowbrook Town.
As soon as she got off the freeway, she went straight to Tim Tower.
By the time she reached the entrance of Tim Tower, it was already nine in the morning.
Agnes had been up all night again.
But she didn't feel sleepy at all.
She still couldn't understand why Jared took her granny away.
If it was to get back at her, but her granny left half a month ago. At that time, she hadn't even met Jared.
What worried Agnes more was, for such a long time, Agnes had tried to persuade her granny to live with her countless times, but her granny was too attached to her home and refused to leave.
Agnes knew, the elderly just wanted to spend their remaining years in a familiar place.
Her granny had lived in the countryside her entire life and knew everything and everyone there.
What on earth did Jared say to convince her granny to leave her home?
The more Agnes thought about it, the more scared she became. She even feared that Jared had forced her granny to leave.
Agnes sat in the car for a long time, but finally got out and entered Tim Tower.
She had been to this place countless times four years ago, so almost everyone recognized her.
