Last time at the Thomas', Agnes had already noticed that Laura and Hammer were acting more than friendly with one another, their flirtation unmistakable.
Then there was Hammer helping Beatrice, Agnes had guessed at the relationship between them.
Agnes knew, after all, that her father's death was linked to Laura.
Her next move would be to expose the vicious Laura, and ensure she gets a taste of her own medicine.
Phenix took a look and was surprised, "Isn't that Laura, Mr. Berlin's second wife? Now Mrs. Thomas of the Thomas family?"
Laura frowned, "But who is this man? I don't recall ever meeting him."
Astonished, Agnes asked, "You know her?"
"I sure do, the gentleman is a regular in our joint. Just last night, I served him drinks and played a round of poker with him till midnight. That's why I'm so exhausted today."
Agnes was taken by surprise; Berlin had been here just the night before.
Agnes asked, "Is Berlin still here?"
Phenix chuckled, "Anyone who enters Eden Nights stays the night. Half the girls here have been his old flames. You wouldn't believe it, but despite being close to sixty, he's as fit as a twenty-year-old lad. Our top girl, Candy, was with him last night."
Agnes furrowed her brows, as if contemplating something.
Phenix curiously asked, "What's going on between you two? Why are you collecting photos of Mrs. Thomas cheating?"
Having seen the photos, Phenix had an idea of what was going on, but she couldn't figure out Agnes' involvement.
