When Layla heard what Avery said, she calmed down a little.

"Then, I'll still listen to Uncle Mike! He must be doing this for you," Layla muttered.

"Layla, did your Daddy really cry?" Avery could not believe it. She had always thought Elliot to be strong.

"It's true!" Layla replied loudly. "Mommy, why would I lie to you? I saw it myself."
