Ten days later, Eric was discharged from the hospital and boarded Elliot's private jet right away to head back to Aryadelle.
Once he landed, Elliot had his subordinates send Eric and his parents back to their home.
As the car drove away, Elliot tapped Layla on the shoulder. "Let's go! We are heading home as well. Your brother and sister miss you."
She sobered and said gloomily, "Dad, he still hasn't agreed to marry me."
"There's no point forcing him into it. Let's wait until he gets better!"
She scowled and mumbled, "He is so stubborn!"
"If he wasn't like that, you wouldn't love him so much," Elliot commented.
Elliot was right.
Layla loved Eric for his talent but also for his character.
It was important that two people had a mutual understanding of each other's characters if they wanted a long-term relationship.
The two went into the car, and the driver started driving toward Ivy's university.
They were going to pick Ivy up and head home together.
One hour later, they picked Ivy up from Southern University. Ivy was excited to see her family.
