"Um... the staff member here in the customer service department all look rather ordinary. We don't have anyone who looks exceptionally hideous or beautiful," the manager muttered. "Mr. Tate, all other information on employees who have left the company has been deleted as we have a high turnover rate. Why don't I try asking around to see if there is someone who remembers who entered your room that night."

"Do it now," Hayden said sternly.

His tone alerted the manager.

Everyone knew that Hayden’s company was based in Bridgedale, yet he had traveled all the way here to ask the manager about something that had happened ten months ago, so the manager instantly concluded that the staff Hayden was looking for must have done something wrong.

The manager asked the question on the hotel employee chatgroup and showed Hayden the screen of his phone. "Mr. Tate, I've asked everyone."

Hayden glanced at it and asked, "Is it possible to go through the surveillance footage from ten months ago?"

"That won't be possible. We only keep footage of the last fifteen days," the manager said. "Even banks only keep up to three months’ worth of footage. There isn't a place in this country that would keep footage from ten months ago."

"Just because you haven't heard of a place that doesn't do it, doesn't mean it's not a practice elsewhere," Hayden said.

"Well, at least this hotel doesn't keep footage from that long ago. Mr. Tate, why exactly are you searching for an employee whom you don't even know the name of? Did she offend you in some way?"

"I'm not certain yet," Hayden said.

It would be ideal if the baby was not related to him in any way, but if he was the father, it would mean that the waitress he met in the hotel was the mother.
